Tanzania 2026 Post 7

Over the weekend we visited the new Shade house that will house the most vulnerable students next school year.  We painted the wall in the girls room with flowers, a butterfly and a decal that says "Jesus loves me this I know.". Sunday we worshipped at St. Luke's Anglican church. We also had the opportunity to visit with the bishop.

The school week was very busy, but very exciting! We taught the 2nd and 4th grade classes for Bible class. We taught recorder to a group of teachers and then the 4th grade. We did a prayer walk around the perimeter of Shade's property, each leadership office, offices of future Shade staff, buses, dining room/ kitchen, classrooms and the gardens. We then drove to nearby villages to meet a few of the scholarship families. We had the opportunity to visit the students Morning Glory and revisited with the leadership and support staff Morning Glory. We had fellowship time with the students and even played some soccer, frisbee, and net ball.

Wednesday was filled with many goodbyes. The bus conductors even cooked a special meal for us to share together. Before we left, we honored Jack Grubbs with a tree planting.
