PRAYER MINISTRIES
These ministries foster a deep sense of community and support, allowing members to lift each other up in times of joy and struggle. By prioritizing prayer, these ministries help to create a culture of faith and reliance on God, strengthening the overall health and unity of the church body.
PRAYER SHAWL
Mission:
The Mission of the Prayer Shawl ministry is to support and pray for people often known only to God. We communicate a tangible sense of God’s love with our prayers and gifts of handmade items of comfort and care.
Criteria & Expectations:

All skill levels are welcome. We have prayers and patterns to share, and love to encourage new crocheters and knitters.
Volunteer Involvement:
The prayer shawl ministry meets once a month at the church to work on our projects and pray. Come when you can for prayer and great fellowship!

HEALING PRAYER
Mission:
The mission of the Healing Prayer ministry is to help people encounter Jesus through prayer.
Criteria & Expectations:
Volunteer Criteria:
Volunteer Expectations:
- Be a member of the Church of the Resurrection
- Be invited and confirmed by the rector to be part of the ministry
- Complete ongoing training and supervision
- Complete Child Protection Training and CCB Training
- Agree to follow Healing Team Protocol
Volunteer Expectations:
- Able to manage their own personal well-being by continuing to work on their own healing
- Able to serve on a team
- Able to come alongside and lovingly serve hurting people
- Be a person who listens well
- Able to intercede in prayer with someone while they are present
- Sensitive to the emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental aspects of the person’s need
- Demonstrate understanding of basic healing prayer model
- Willing to pursue continuing training in physical and emotional healing modalities
- Committed to serving on the Healing Prayer Team at services

IN-SERVICE PRAYER
Mission:
To imitate Christ through the ministry of intercession.
Criteria & Expectations:
Volunteer Criteria:
Volunteer Expectations:
- Completion of prayer training
- Comfortable praying in a one-on-one setting
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality
- Willing to commit to helping at least one Sunday per month
Volunteer Expectations:
- Complete prayer training before starting (with additional training approximately once per year)
- Pray during communion at least once per month
