Over the past two weeks, construction has been focused on more digging and establishing a firm foundation for our building. Concrete foundations and masonry foundation walls are continuing in the new Sanctuary area and deep excavation for the fire tank and deep footers has continued over these two weeks. Please pray for no rain to fill up the hole! As we move into this week on the construction site, concrete for deep footings are being poured through the start of the week. As this portion of the work is being completed, major deliveries will start occurring the week after Easter (4/22), including the firetank and steel. A large crane will be also present on the property. Some of these materials will be stored along the parking spots until it gets installed. Please be mindful when parking on Sundays. Lastly for this update, the erection of the steel structure for our new building is expected to start in early May! As always, thank you for your patience and understanding as the work on our new building continues.

Progress continues to move ahead very smoothly as concrete footings and major digging has been the main work performed over the past two weeks. Concrete footings for the Fellowship area were completed last week and the construction crew is working on the footings for the new sanctuary area this week. This includes placing CMU block on top of the footings. Also commencing this week is the deep digging for 19’x30’ fire tank pit and associated tie-backs/shoring install. We ask for your prayers for the construction crews and the work being performed, specifically that they do not hit any rock in this process of digging this extremely deep pit, and we praise the Lord that test pits in this area seem to look good! Major deliveries of steel, the fire tank, and other materials will commence the week after Easter (4/22) and may fill up some parking spots. Please take care as you drive around the site. Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer throughout this process.
On March 3, as a congregation, we broke ground on the construction site of our new building. What a joy and privilege it was to see God at work in our midst, and what a great time we had celebrating together as a church family! We want to thank all of you who have done, and continue to do, so much to make these kinds of joyous days possible for our church. Above all, we continue to give thanks to the Lord for doing “immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20).
Now that our property is under major construction, please keep these things mind:
We ask God for safety and wisdom as we worship, serve, and work, while our property remains under construction in the coming year, and as always, we are grateful for our congregation and your commitment to our church in this process! |
