Prayer Shawl Ministry at Resurrection
The prayer shawl ministry group meets once a month on Saturday mornings, 10:30am–12:30pm, to knit and crochet prayer shawls and baby blankets and pray for our church.
This group meets in person at Church of the Resurrection. Contact Micul Ann Morse to join (morse2298@yahoo.com).
The Prayer Shawl Ministry combines compassion and a love of knitting/crocheting into a prayerful and powerful ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace, as well as for celebration and joy. Many blessings are prayed into every stitch. We meet the second Saturday of each month at the church from 10:30am—12:30pm to work on our projects and pray. All skill levels are welcome. We have prayers and patterns to share, and we love to encourage new crocheters and knitters. Our ministry makes prayer shawls, lap rugs, baby blankets, fidget sleeves, and prayer squares, and recently we’ve included "no-sew" fleece blankets for cancer patients at a local hospital. If you would be interested in joining us to make these blankets (no knitting/crocheting experience necessary), our June 10 gathering will be devoted to this project, as well as future work days.
