Church of the Resurrection accepts with deep gratitude and seriousness the trust given us by God to nurture and care for his people, especially those who are most vulnerable and in need of protection. This is nowhere more true than when caring for our children and youth. As Christian adults we are called to establish a secure environment where the perfect love of God works to cast out all fear (1 John 4:18) and the nurture and love of God are made known to all, and in particular to our children and youth.
For the safety of our children we require any clergy, staff, and volunteers working with children to complete a Volunteer Application Form, background screening, and a two-hour child protection training course. This screening and education process serves to prevent threats and empower caregivers to recognize and report concerning behaviors in an expedient manner.

Protect My Ministry is determined to join faith-based organizations to avoid, as much as possible, incidences of child abuse on our watch. Our Child Safety Training helps educate your ministry by heightening awareness, increasing responsibility, and creating a greater sense of community that keeps a watchful eye on children.
